Hit Three Targets with one Arrow: Happiness, Bones and Joints Health!!!!
Lockdown has made us to stay indoors. Many of us have not been able to go out to Parks for a walk and miss our time with friends. Our parents/elderly are for forced to stay indoor & miss their daily routine of spending time with friends. Time to think of doing light exercises in the house to look after our Bone and Joint Health. These exercises are for anyone & everyone. Exercise is the arrow with which you can hit three targets:
(i) Make your joints supple and strong :
Best example is back. Urban lifestyle and sitting for long times on chair make our lower back and neck stiff. Light stretching exercise will avoid spine stiffness. Shoulders and Knees also tend to become stiff with inactivity. Mobilize them. Do stretching and strengthening exercises. Do those exercises which do not give you pain. Be gentle initially.
(ii) Make your bones strong to avoid Osteoporosis :
No matter what amount of calcium you take, unless you load the bones by walking or household activities or formal exercises, your bones do not get hungry for mineralization and calcium is not deposited in bones. Make your bones hungry, asking for calcium, by exercising.
(iii) Mood Elevator :
It is a scientific fact that when you exercise, you release good chemicals in body called ENDORPHINS. Endorphins have almost similar activity, as that of morphine. Endorphins are happiness and mood elevator chemicals. So go ahead with exercise to generate happiness chemical in your body. It is required the most in these desperate and depressing times of Pandemic.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s start from today itself. With one arrow of EXERCISES, you can hit three targets, and stay happy throughout the day!!!!
I sincerely hope this information helps you in staying healthy in these challenging times.
